Digital x-rays

Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays use sensors instead of photographic film to capture an image. This type of X-ray offers significant advantages over traditional films, which include:

  1. Faster results, because there is no chemical processing.
  2. The ability to digitally transfer images to specialists when a referral or second opinion is needed.
  3. The ability to modify images to enhance contrast, to compensate for under- and over-exposures, or to magnify areas of concern.
  4. Significant reduction in radiation exposure (80% decrease) to our patients.
